We are so grateful to be working with Calvary Chapel South. Here, our FSFA Connection -Holly Andrews shares on how her church was recently involved.
"As many of you know, family advocacy ministry is full of joys, challenges, uncharted waters and endless opportunities to serve and love, quite a daunting task for a single church community to endeavor alone. Hebrews 10:24 encourages us as the family of God to “let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds.”
The network of churches and organizations within the Foster Support Faith Alliance has made it possible to dream bigger, to step forward towards love and service. Calvary Chapel South’s FAM team recently experienced this blessing of fellowship and unity among the faith community. Together with others from the FSFA, we were able to strengthen relationships with our local DCYF office by hosting a 2-day Appreciation Breakfast which included a drop-in hot breakfast and appreciation bags with a continental breakfast delivered to the office. It was a wonderful opportunity for the office to see the faith community united and to not only get to know one church, but a network of churches and organizations that can remind them, they are not alone in this work.
We believe FAM ministries will be able to go the distance and take steps to make the God-inspired visions and dreams possible as churches and organizations join together. "
